BAFTA 2023 Best Dressed: Celebs brought glitz and glamour to the red carpet

The red carpet for the 2023 BAFTA Awards was held on Sunday (February 19, 2023). The Royal Albert Hall in London hosted some of the biggest names in Hollywood and beyond for the award show.

The British Film Awards are a must-see event during awards season because they recognise the best on-screen performances of the year. The red-carpet event that preceded the formal ceremony was just as entertaining as usual. At the BAFTAs, A-listers prefer distinctive touches over modern splendour. Unsurprisingly, a large portion of the collection was comprised of eye-catching dresses. The actors from your favourite movies of the year walked the red carpet before the performance, and their fashion choices stood out. Check out which celebrities looked their best at this year’s BAFTA Awards.

Florence Pugh – Florence Pugh attended the BAFTAs on Sunday, February 19, at the Southbank Center in London, wearing a vibrant orange gown designed by Nina Ricci. The sculpture wore no straps and wore a strapless mermaid skirt with ribbed fabric frills at her feet that formed a frothy frame behind her. The dress’s neckline opened like a flower around Pugh’s upper torso and matched the hem. Her experimental updo resembled a crimped halo of blonde hair around her head and mimicked the ornamentation on the garment. She completed her look with a pair of gold hoop earrings, a white manicure, and a diamond necklace. Pugh was also wearing her signature gold septum piercing hoop.

Anya- Taylor Joy – On Sunday night, Anya Taylor-Joy arrived at the BAFTA red carpet wearing a Schiaparelli couture gown. Her velvet, structured bandeau minidress was concealed by a floor-length cloak in the same colour that was wrapped around her long blonde hair. The Menu performer’s long legs were highlighted by the short minidress, which featured bow accents along its triangle fitted portions. She removed her cloak to reveal the cut of her dress and the delicate gold straps on her Aquazzura shoes. In addition, she wore a gold statement necklace with broad, organically curving motifs.

Michelle Yeoh – Michelle Yeoh looked stunning as she walked down the red carpet at London’s Royal Festival Hall for the 76th EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday. The actress, 60, looked stunning in a pink Christian Dior Couture trouser suit with satin lapels and flared sleeves. She accessorised with glittering Moussaieff high jewellery and a pair of open-toed silver heels for the occasion. The actress wore a pink sapphire and diamond bangle, Burma ruby and diamond earrings, and a natural colour pink sapphire ring. She appeared content as she posed for pictures before the wedding, wearing a tonne of makeup to accentuate her attractive features.

Hoyeon Jung – Jung attended the event on Sunday in a dramatic Louis Vuitton gown at London’s Royal Festival Hall. Her floor-length ball skirt and sculpted bodice with a curved strapless neckline were designed by Nicolas Ghesquiere. The entire metallic ensemble was covered in layers of gleaming, light-catching sequins and was traditionally accessorised with a crimson lip, a collar choker, and a diamond Vuitton necklace.

Catherine Zeta-Jones – Catherine Zeta-Jones dazzled in a stunning purple transparent beaded gown as she approached the stage at the 76th EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday. The actress, 53, dazzled in an extraordinary Tony Ward couture gown with a purple and yellow beaded look as she presented Best Picture to All Quiet On The Western Front in the event’s final moments. Catherine posed in the winners room to show off her stunning gown despite not walking the BAFTAs red carpet. The gown featured a stunning translucent gold skirt that flowed into an illusion bodice with purple beaded accents. Catherine wore her beautiful raven tresses in a simple side-swept style, and the dress had a long train.
